Promotion of Primary Education

Due to the continuing war like situation, there is a gradual decline in the Kashmiri peoples economic conditions, particularly in the far-flung areas whose population is suffering the most. They cannot afford to meet most of their needs, including education. Even primary education for their children is out of reach.

Mercy Universal has provided financial assistance to 10 community centres to provide education to the children of affected families on a priority basis.

More than 500 students from affected families are now benefiting as a result of Mercy Universal's help towards primary education.

		With your help Mercy Universal can provide education to more children of poor and needy families.

Assistance for Secondary Education and Scholarship

The educational facilities are already in rundown condition in Kashmir, and the children of families affected by strife have no educational prospect. Many children have already wasted their academic future.

Realising the needs, Mercy Universal has extended financial help to 50 students. The assistance includes fees, lodging and boarding, travel and personal expenses, and the cost of books.

		50 students have been given assistance so far. However there are hundreds more who need your help urgently.
