A large number of affected Kashmiri families cannot participate fully in such yearly festive religious occasions as Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha.

Mercy Universal's Eid-Gift-Aid scheme gives the poor families a sense of belonging to the community and reinforces their cultural heritage.

Mercy Universal's Eid-Gift-Aid scheme gives the poor families a sense of belonging to the community

Mercy Universal's programme makes the recipient families feel that they are not alienated from the rest of the people but are equal participants in the religious festive occasions. Affected families are provided financial assistance to cater to their needs during the month-long fasting period of Ramadhan, which culminates in rejoicing with special food for the occasion and new clothes for children for Eid-ul-Fitr and distribution of meat to them during Eid-ul-Adha.

Mercy Universal needs continuous help in this regard, as the number of deserving families increase every day.
