The programme is for individual family or groups of such families, who have no financial resources, but want not to be dependent on charity. Mercy Universal helps such families by providing them interest-free loans, which will enable them to use the money for creating income tools for self-reliance. The programme examines every project for interest- free loans by financial experts who keep the progress of project for interest-free loans by financial experts who keep the progress of project under constant review under agreement with the family/families who receive interest-free loans. Mercy Universal loans are returnable within a specified period of time depending on nature of enterprise and at the same time generate enough income to recipient family’s needs.

Mercy Universal is also focussing on the families of war victims, With your generous donations and our amazing volunteers, we have provided the basic necessities to many widows left unable to feed their children. Being illiterate and unskilled was a major obstacle in being able to support their families. We established training centres to teach them some skills in order to help them stand on own feet and rebuild their lives.

The on-going plight in Kashmir has affected thousands of families who have lost their heads. Thousands of young girls are waiting for marriages and getting old. Mercy Universal has launched a marriage scheme which arranges the marriages on very minimum expenditures and provides basic necessities so that these girls can start their new life.

In recent years 295 orphans were sponsored, out of which 89 were girls and 206 were boys. The cost of each orphan was £30 monthly and the resources expended each year were £53,100. Sponsoring an orphan means the provision of books, tuition, meals and boarding expenses, and helps provide these kids with a future. We believe and hope that you will be inclined to sponsor at least one child.
